You could always ditch your cable modem and use Speakeasy.net's onelink service. Onelink is a DSL service which doesn't need an extra phone line. I suppose that if you used this, you could save more money by running VoIP through your DSL line. I don't work for them, I have just been researching them for when I move in a month, and I have heard good things from other geeks.
