Regarding the problem of varying volumes between commercials and programs: Many newish TV's have a setting to fix this problem. Look for a setting in your TV's menu called "smart volume" or something similar.

I though Mc Chris might be cool/interesting but after this boring interview he just seems to be a nerd poseur. He is just a stoner pretending to be a nerd. He is frontin' geekyness.
With all the great projects google is creating lately, I can't wait until they create their own search engine. That would be radical!

Crusader taught me everything I need to know about the work environment. i.e. The company is out to get me and I must stalk around cubicals liquifing my fellow employees bodies with a heat gun. I think outside the box.
Actually they mutually agree to a pillow fight to determine who wins the man. Then 97.7% of the time the women get hot and sweaty, and decided that violence isn't the answer, which therefore leads to a threesome with the man. It wasn't quite as simple as you made it out to be, and I didn't want you to give Slashdotters the wrong idea.
I agree we should fight the broadcast flag, but the number 1 thing to remember is that the broadcast flag only applies to the US. And with the internet it is a small world we live in. We can easily acquire some other piece of hardware from another country which doesn't use the broadcast flag. If we lose the battle, the average consumer may be out of luck, but the people who do some research can easily locate an alternative device to buy.
The only time I played D&D, was AD&D (Advanced Dungeons and Dragons) with a dungeon master who had ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), and I think was smoking weed. That game was slow, and impossible to figure out.
For the last 1000 years it has been independant people making discoveries. In the scheme of things the only new thing is the fact that we have large corporations who do more innovation now.
Smaller than a postcard used to mean something back in the day. My pda (Ux50) is smaller than a 3x5 card, my phone is smaller than a cats head. Of course things arn't as thin as a postcard yet. We are going to need new standard comparisons soon.

After 7 years the learned that 90% of internet traffic was caused by dancing baby and hampster websites.
That may save him from being typecast, but now he won't get any jobs because he will be known for not committing to projects.
I don't know UNIX, but I will do some crazy gymnastics to help us evade the dinosaurs. Was that awful part in #2 or #3?
But who found the culprit who leaked the found Doctor Who episode leaked by the culprit who was later found?

Here is an interesting concept to hold your cards: http://www.chameleonnetwork.com/ This product may be vapourware, but it sounds cool.

Listen... I just want some dual layer disks that don't cost as much as a new movie. I don't need a terabyte right now, just some $.25 blanks.
Why have I never noticed that until you pointed it out? I guess you learn something new everyday.
