    Hell, one of my external hard drives has a power light that is quite visible through duct tape.

    Building A goes down, you can operate at reduced capacity by carrying on with Building B.

    It's not airborne, you do have to come into direct contact with it.

    The "fun" part is it's not like you have to ingest it - literally touch is all it takes.

    Personally the issue wasn't that Google knew my name (I'm sure they know a lot more than that) but that they made that information available to everyone who cared to look.

    That left a bad taste in my mouth and I have since refused to touch G+ because of it, even though they did back out from that particular stance quite quickly.

    This would work exactly like machine vision (because light is radio) but with much larger antennas, and a lot more transparent/translucent (and very refractive!) materials to cause more computational difficulties.

    Why not just place static readers on all the doors - you'll immediately know when something moves from one room to another? Granted you won't know which way it was moving, unless it traversed another door. But, if you know the starting location, there you go.

    There's no reason the drone needs to transmit anything while it's tasked. Programmed waypoints and actions, and it uses GPS to navigate. Switch on control comms for takeoff/landing.

    You should get an ICMPv4 response with a type value of 3, and code value of 3.

    RST happens when something borks up in an existing session, not in response to a SYN. (exception: when firewalls/NAT gateways are configured to reply with an RST, instead of dropping or ICMP).

    Unless you're firewalling 127.0.0.0/8 to yourself, which would be incredibly stupid.
