    Totally off-topic:

    I had an ingrown (two actually, one each foot) nail. 1/4" deep past the skin (nail grew with a sharp curl on the sides, so it grew down like a knife-edge). I delt with that for over a year before we finally had an opportunity to get a doctor to cut them out and burn back the nail bed to prevent regrowth.

    Local infection (drainage etc) but never receded even to the knuckle, we kept it at the surface. We did a damn good job at keeping that at bay, all things considered. ... fun times! Thanks for the reminder! (that shit hurt)

    The reflection window will shift up (away from HF and towards UHF/VHF), meaning the lower frequencies will start to be absorbed while the higher ones start to reflect more (vs just refracting through)

    Well, I don't often use .22 - when I did, I'd fire a whole box in one go, which happened to line up perfectly with the number of targets I'd take and the number of shots at each bull.

    These days I only have my 30.06, and with the cost and size of those I'm not likely to misplace them.

    No, it's not. The primer is the detonator. Crushing the primer with the pin is how you trigger it. (eg, the clacker is not the detonator, it's the trigger. the detonator is stuck into the plastique)

    I think I figured out where I got 'squib' from - if you have a misfire, and indeed it is a hang fire as you described... if left in the chamber it would squib, as it wouldn't burn fast enough to propel the bullet properly.

    Even if we haven't been on the moon (rolls eyes) we can certainly pull it off now. To say our technology, medical science, and materials science has improved since then is an understatement.

    So, how are you going to keep station? Every launch and landing is going to nudge the station away from the L2 point. You are going to have to correct at some point.
