I was thinking exactly the opposite. Maybe they should come inside for a while. Obviously, they have been living in the woods for their entire life and have never even seen a TV much less watched one.
Same here. I think it is more a matter of people having questionable rigs in general, and randomly picking a component to blame. I had a friend that years ago would constantly claim that his computer kept crashing because it had an AMD processor. I went and looked at his machine, and found it was sitting next to a window that got massive condensation. The inside the the case was actually rusting. Even when pointing that out the liquid puddling in the bottom of his case, he insisted that it must be the AMD cpu.
That's how I got my first second programming job. The owner of the company thought it was cool to have a software department, and he perceived young people as being better at it because they were young. While it worked out for me for a number of reasons, he eventually ran the business into the ground with that attitude.
Dramatically more lives could have been saved by banning football. My point being that you are talking about an number that is statistically irrelavent. Besides, you are just as likely to simply move the venue as you are to actually stop it.
Or, have the templates edited using a completely different UI than the one used to send actual messages. A system with proper workflow would have the decision to send the message or not made BEFORE the message is even typed, not after.
By having the same form used to generate templates as used for sending real messages, the developers had already made a mistake in their application's workflow.
Wrong. Submit is a perfectly find button name. It is simple, it is direct, and it is understood by the population. It is not always appropriate, but the label of "Submit" is not why this happened. It happened because of a mistake earlier in the workflow of the application. The screen that you use to make templates should never have been the same screen that is used for sending messages.
If Submit is an unacceptable label, then so is Save, File, Edit, Help, Save As, etc...
That or have your templates entered through an entirely different executable/interface. Heck, don't even let the templates be edited on the system that sends the real messages. While you may need to send a real message quickly, you will never need to save a template in the heat of the moment, and if you are editing the templates frequently enough that walking over to a completely separate machine is going to have any real effect on productivity, then your problem isn't with the computer.
In our system the button that resets all of the application's configuration data requires that the user type in "Break this application". We have yet to have someone claim that they accidentally type the letters to spell out "Break this application".
Plus, even if it was just the Web and Web apps, then it would leave it as a subset of what Android (and iOS) do, as both of those OSes would run 100% of the WebOS stuff, but not the other way around.
I would disagree with them being mostly mature. Both Android and iOS are the phone equivalent of Windows 3.1/ MacOS7 operating systems. They are definitely usable, and seem amazing compared to what came before, but they have just reached the usability for the masses stage. The only reason that they seem 'mature' is because they are compared to the Apple II's and C64's of the phone world. There is a lot of improvement coming to both OSes.
How is it that it took this many comments before this was brought up? MS has been caught multiple times using pirated software, and even directly selling other peoples software. There is no way that this kind of law could go well for anyone.
I actually typed a response detailing how to accomplish this very simply with current TVs, but Window 7 decided to throw up the "Your system has been updated, do you want to restart" dialog box, stealing focus thus turning my last carriage return into a system restart. Arrrrggggg....
Anyway, I have been saying that this would be simple since I got my first nVidia 3D shutter glasses a decade ago. They used the same method of offering 3D as the current crop of 3D TVs. So, instead of retyping directions AGAIN on how to implement this, I did a quick search and found that Sony has recently patented it using the incredibly obvious solution. Here is a description of how to do it.
Your using the "Your not free if you are not fee to own slaves." argument. It is a BS argument. All things have restrictions. GPLv3 is a communist sort of freedom. (each to their need, each to their ability) BSD is more like sociopath freedom. Freedom for me, but I don't give a crap about you unless it benefits me.
So, line up people... Are you a GPL communist or a BSD sociopath?
That is a strange comment. Anyone that looks at my previous posts could clearly see that I am not the other poster. I know it is hip to accuse anyone that makes a comment you don't like of being a "sock puppet", but that doesn't make it so. I don't even get what you are talking about with CP and the police? Are you suggesting that I have done something illegal?
Wow, that kind of comment makes his claims about mod stalking sound legitimate. His comment was on topic, relevant, and added information to the conversation that others appear to not be aware of. There is nothing trollish or inappropriate in his comment. And yet you found it necessary to make personal attacks against him in a post that adds nothing to the conversation.
I have run into that in real life. A number of years ago, a woman in one meeting was complaining that one database was called the master, and another was called the slave. She was completely serious. Very sad.
One politically incorrect piece of the biodiversity puzzle that always gets missed is that you don't get biodiversity without isolating groups. It is when two one group gets split into two for a long enough time that evolution can change them that you get diversity. Random mutation within a population generally doesn't create much in the way of biodiversity.
While I have no problems with homosexuals, voted against a gay marriage ban, and think that an increase in homosexuality is just about the only humane way forward for our world to become environmentally sound, I must say, that you are definitely playing the "Think of the Children" card.
It is a parents duty to teach their children right from wrong. I might not agree with them on what right and wrong is, but it is not only their right to teach their morals to their children, it is their responsibility.
It is admirable to try to convince an adult that there morals are misguided when you disagree with them. It is despicable to try to turn their children. It is simply preying on the weak.
You are a bigot, and a bad person. Slavery in the pre-civil ware south was "positive discrimination" for the slave owners. It was a horrible and despicable thing for the slaves. The same its true for the discrimination that you endorse today. If a women gets a job because she has a vagina, that is "positive discrimination" for her, but it is a horrible and despicable thing for the guy that didn't get it because he had a penis.
"Positive Discrimination" is what bigots claim to make themselves feel good about themselves when they are endorsing despicable acts.
Absolute BS. My lean body mass is greater than what the Governement/Medical/insurance industries deem "overweight". To stop being overweight, I would have to literally either perform some kind of incredibly unhealthy diet that made my body eat it's own muscle, or have body parts amputated. The standards that are used to define "fat" people are unrealistic, and highly unhealthy.
That being said, there are also negative health effects to having things regularly shoved into your anus with great vigor.
Just about every thing you do has some kind of negative health effects, including being "normal" weight, and engaging in heterosexual sex. Yes, there can be extremes. You can have 5'11 people who are 400lbs., but you can also have goatse.
You are not on any moral high ground with your own bigotry. Your right their in the same mud as the people that have a problem with homosexuals.

A real language is one that people who don't want to learn anything new are already familiar with.

If pressing that one wrong pedal plows into 87,000 people, then yes. It is broken.

And they would still be considered obese by the BMI.

It isn't illegal censorship, but it is still censorship.
