    I've met tons of people with A+ certs and most of them could not fix a computer. Sure, I have met some that could fix a computer but the majority of people I've met with A+ certs don't really know a whole lot. A+ is just a piece of paper, it doesn't prove anything. I met one lady that had an A+ and a Network+, and.... She couldn't fix a computer and couldn't apply any of her network knowledge. And yes I saw the Comptia certifications the lady had, so I know for a fact she had her certs.

    Software has bugs, its impossible to make bug free software. And what do we do to get rid of known bugs.... PATCH IT. Bridges and software are two very different things.

    A lot of open source developers do work at "real" companies, and they work on an open source project on their spare time. Nobody owes you anything, they release their work because they want to.

    Actually its sounds like you just aren't able to learn how to use a Linux distrobution effectivly. Just my take though. I use Slackware and am able to run Windows programs as well as Windows games.

    Linux based OS's are only as powerful as the people using them. If you don't know what you are doing then its not going to do a whole lot for you.
