  1. Research...yea, that's the ticket! on Porn Surfing Rampant At US Science Foundation · · Score: 1

They were doing"research" on human reproductive habits...how males are "visual" compared to females...yea, that's it....now to put in for the multi-million dollar grant on this...

I would trade anything to fly on one mission...to the ISS, back to the Moon or to Mars. It's a natural progression of what Man does best...face new challenges, explore and broaden his/her knowledge of the world around them. The men and women that suit up and fly into space know the risks, but how many of them have backed out at the last minute? Exploring our solar system may be the key to our survival on Earth...and unlock the wonders of the universe in the process.

  4. Re:Moral of the story on Soyuz 4/5 Made History 40 Years Ago Today · · Score: 1

Apollo 10 was the "dress rehearsal" for Apollo 11...they did everything but land on the moon (supposedly the LM did not have enough propellant to allow for Stafford and Cernan to land and take off from the surface on the moon). One other piece of trivia...Russian Cosmonauts have a tradition, going back to Yuri Gagarin's flight, of having the transport vehicle for the cosmonauts stop on the way out to the launch pad, and cosmonauts get out and relieve themselves next to the vehicle, then get back in and go to the launch pad. Story has it that Gagarin was so nervous for his flight that he needed to take a leak, had the vehicle stop so he could get out and relieve himself before getting on board Vostok 1 (his suit didn't have a urine collection system, since his flight was only one orbit). Cosmonauts consider it "good luck" to do this.

  5. Re:stupid question but..... on Obama Proposes Digital Health Records · · Score: 1

I've seen the government's attempt to go to digital health records - talk to anyone involved in the Military with AHLTA - the program is the biggest waste of taxpayer dollars ever - constant new builds coming out, some that "break " the existing version, and force providers to go back to the "paper and pen" ways. AHLTA isn't able to be converted to the VA's health care system (go figure) which creates headaches for retirees and veterans (like myself). Think of it as Microsoft on government provided steroids.... Remember what Ronald Regan said one...the words that all Americans fear the most "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help." This is one thing that Obama and the government needs to stay away from...otherwise it will be AFU real quick...let someone else standardize it.

I know some vatos dawn in the Barrio that can hook them up with some choice rims and hydraulics to make their ride so, so fine. For $50.00 more, they can take it to Cousin Ricky's auto body shop for a tuck and roll job, and hang some fuzzy dice and dingle balls all over the cockpit...

My wife had to declare bankruptcy after we got married - her ex couldn't file taxes or pay student loans to save his freaking life. When she has the case heard, her student loans were not part of the settlement, so she ended up paying them off after about five years of working with the holders of the loans. Student loans are like a bad cars of the clap - you don't get rid of it until you get it taken care of.
