The 4:3 format is apparently on its way out Here in Norway too.
I tried buying a "normal" tv this summer and ended up with a widescreen instead because the salesmen in all the stores I went to told me that they weren't marketing 4:3 tv's anymore at all. I don't regret it though, and I've really come to love widescreen.
Now, a few months later, 4 of my friends also find themselves with widescreen tvs in their livingrooms. And not because of any influence of mine.
