Sometimes I could almost believe that the people most vocally bashing Windows are the ones who haven't actually used it in years, and are basing their vitriol on out of date experiences.
That's funny, sometimes I think exactly the same about the linux bashers.
This reminds me of a conversation I once had with a friend:
Him : Finally, after several days, the whole system,
including the command line is in Chinese!
Me : Wow. I didn't even know you understood Chinese!
Him : (smiling happily) I dont!
For a disturbing amount of people, slashdot is home.
On the other hand, you can choose to run without kde, gnome, or even without X at all.
Windows doesn't give you that choice.
