If we keep going down the path we're going here "in America", I fully expect to see something like this enacted here before long. This is why I'll be voting for Mike Badnarik for President this November.

Because tagging the children is only the beginning. The Fascist States of America, under King George II, will be a police state like nothing the world has ever witnessed.

Don't trust the Demopublicans to work to enforce verifiable voting. After all, it's not really in either of the major parties best interest to do so.

OTOH, 3rd parties tend to favor enforcing mechanisms for verifiable voting. Democracy is too important to trust to a system that is easily rigged or manipulated.

And oh yeah... Vote Badnarik for President!

Sure, everyone is provided equal time (uh, yea right), but I have yet to see a single television ad for Badnarik

You will. The National campaign folks are working on TV ads, and they will be running. At the same time, we in the North Carolina LP are working on creating and paying for some local spots, independently of the National campaign efforts.

I don't have details on where / when, but I know they are coming.

Talk to us when the Libertarians actually have a seat, or better yet, a majority, in either house of Congress.

Libertarians DO have a seat in a House of Congress. House Representative Ron Paul is a Libertarian. He's only "officially" listed as a Republican because of some bizarre Texas electoral law which prohibited him from running for Congress as a Libertarian.

But there is no question that he is a Libertarian. He's still a party member, and was actually the Libertarian candidate for President in 1988.

This kind of non-sense would never be tolerated under a Libertarian administration. I guarantee you, if Mike Badnarik were President, the FCC would not be in a position to try and dictate what people can watch on their own televisions.

Yep, and as the libertarian candidate will probably get about 1% of the vote you will be stuck with the government that brought you DMCA and the Patriot Act in the first place.

Only as long as people keep believing that. This whole "voting 3rd party is a wasted vote" thing is a just self-fulfilling prophecy.

Besides, whether you vote for Bush OR Kerry, you're also going to be "stuck with the government that brought you the DMCA and the Patriot Act in the first place." So you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain, by voting Libertarian.

This is why I vote Libertarian. A Libertarian President would not enforce the DMCA, and would work on getting it repealed. A Libertarian President AND Congress would certainly get rid of the DMCA, the Patriot Act, and many other evils of Big Government.
