I have to agree. I believe the whole thing was a farse. Funny how there is more technology in your laptop computer than there was in Apollo 11 and they "went to the moon" but now they won't go. Makes no sense to me.
Couldn't agree more. I got out of college with my Computer Programmer/Analyst degree and it took me nearly 2 years to find a job. I'm an IT Systems Administrator now but I do a lot of custom programming for the company I work form. I got a job in a factory, worked on the floor for about a year and a half and got my IT job at the same place. I'm one of the fortunate ones.
I'm making around $42,000 right now. In 2 years my boss said I would be up around $50,000 - $60,000 mark. I started the position at $38,000. I didn't care thought because I was grateful to get the job.
