I work next to a lab of computational biologists (immunology, actually), and one career path that isn't quite so unusual is finance. There's a lot of demand for excellent quantitative and computational skills in finance/investment banking.
It may not be related to biology, but it's a very real possibility.
Funny you mentioned Barney and Friends. Go read Killing Monsters: Why Children Need Fantasy, Super Heroes, and Make-Believe Violence by Gerard Jones. There's a good chapter on why make-believe violence is actually good for children's development.
He also talks about an oft-cited study at Stanford Medical School, where kids watched television shows, and were observed playing afterwards. One group that watched a violent show exhibited aggressive behavior when playing with other kids afterwards.
What 99% of people who refer to this study fail to realize or mention, is that another group, who watched very unviolent shows (eg. Barney, Rugrats), exhibited the EXACT same aggression in play afterwards.
I forget the exact psychological term, but the researchers concluded that it wasn't violent videogames that cased this aggression, but rather media in general, that the aggression levels rise in a general way, independent of what type of show the kids watched.
1 Megapixel cameras are not quite, but getting to be standard fare among cell phones in japan. only a handful of phones have 2 megapixel cameras.
still I doubt that everyone "posting" to this site has such high qualily cameras
on cell phones in japan. Spam via text messaging is rampant. Spammers will call your phone to get their phone number on your caller id and then charge you astronomical calling fees once you call back.
i've had a couple of friends receive mafia style "call me or i'll kill you" messages on their voice mail to tempt people to call them back and again, charge astronimical fees.

Panasonic has a 10.5 inch laptop that they claim has 8.5 hours of battery life. Saw it at the panasonic museum in osaka, japan. It's a pretty sexy machine

haven't yet asked carpeted or hardwood, but a flight of stairs nonetheless
