Replace the relay and capacitors with CMOS logic gates.
These gates "float high" - right?
so, connect two NOT gates connected back to back - input of 1st will float high, driving input of second low, and output of second high - - connect this output back to the input of the 1st - and you've got an infinite supply of power! (tap a small amount off when needed - and job's a good un!)

Many completely ungaurded slip-roads of major motorways - - am tempted to drive up one one day - - especially some of the "less obvious" ones - - marked "works exit only" (In RED) - - where google maps have "a little less detail than surrounding areas"!
:)
Ah, back in the day - I had a Mylex Dac960 fail - primary raid controller for main DB at the time......Painful? nope - swap it for a new one (pilfered from a spare machine), tell it to rebuild from COD (Configuration on Disk - - each of the disks in the array kept a copy of the Controllers config) - - back up and running in 30 mins:D....sorry, off topic.

So, a bit like F5's BigIP then? sounds good!

It's been about 6 years since I last played with F5 kit, but it was very, VERY nice indeed.
C'mon - the solution is obvious!!

:) Very cool - thanks for the link. R
purely FMI, how come you've spent a lot of time in microgravity? genuinely interested! R.

Well, depite the deluge of abuse that your likely to incur - I, for one, (no, not that old gag) - would like to thank you for sharing. Cheers.
