I've lost the URL, but The Register had a feature a few weeks back on the new PocketPC XDA replacements, all had hi-res screens, windows Mobile 2003,camera, and a pop out hard kayboard.

A bit larger than the treo granted, but a damn sight more useful.

I'm allowed my opinion, and because it differs from yours doesn't make it bad or wrong.

I'm fed up with having to produce many bits of paper just to prove who I am, I see tech as a method make my life easier. And anything that does that is initially A Good Thing.

I'm sure that if this did become law, that free enterprise will produce a RFID blocker 'jacket' for your passport, so the paranoid (such as yourself) can feel suitably protected.

So you see, in the long run, you have nothing to be scared of my friend.

I for one embrace all this extra identification.

I have nothing to hide, and long for a world where I can 'buy' anything I like without needing money, and and travel wherever I like without needing ID.

Let technology track me automagically, it will make my life easier on so many levels.

And for all you paranoid privacy nuts: There are are what, 6-and-bit billion people on this planet, what makes you think that the governments are interested in you ? Somehow I think they have bigger fish to fry.

Being someone who suffers from varying degrees of stomach ailments, I can safely say that a warm environment makes me feel sick, give me a cool office over a warm one anyday.

Also, based on the UKs 'stuffy' office attire rules, even if we did have warmer weather we'd all overheat from having to wear suits and ties whilst chained to our desks!

That, is just a matter of time. A decent modded Xbox ($99+$25) with the free non-MS Media Center, can stream all the popular media formats. There are also 3rd party drivers (and linux drivers) that support the in built USB ports, so I'm sure if someone hunted hard enough, a USB DVB capture dongle could be used.

    Personally, I don't Record off-air, as it's all shite.
