I'm a helldesk/support person in Thin Client environment in a University Library, I got say that they are pretty good, don't even have to leave my seat for anything.
We run Windows CE.NET (ugh, not my choice)
120 HP thin clients, spread over 6 servers, all logging in via a round robin system. It handles the load well. The only real problem we have had was when one of the servers busted a PSU fan
