On top of what they said, most if not all zombie machines are running MS...So Traffic increases on my servers, both at work and at home. People at work using Explorer and call me to come and fix their machine because it is freezing up. MS insecurities doesn't just affect the people using MS it affects networks as well as takes time away from things that I could be doing that really matters. Thats just my 2 sense:)
Since the professor gave the lecture while being paid by the University, and it is prob safe to assume he/she wrote it while being paid by the Univ, wouldn't the Univ have the rights on the lecture?
1) I currently use Garmin GPS on my linux box
2) Use something else
3) There are lots of finance apps for linux, very nice ones too. As for tax apps, I have seen some out there for linux.

Did you actually ever do this? If you did, you would know that it doesn't actually rm everything on ur system, it just may mess it up a little.
Actually 'rm -Rf /' won't do what you think it will, I've tried it.... :)
