A more appropriate question would be: why wouldn't I use Windows? Works great for both my business and personal stuff. No reason to spend a ton of money on Apple stuff, and no reason to spend tons of time with *nix stuff.
Doesn't anybody buy used computers? I get perfectly usable Core Duo machines from my local thrift store for $25 apiece, and they do a heck of a lot more than a Pi.
I don't understand the question. Why is running hardware via serial ports a problem? Serial ports have been included on almost every PC made for the last 30 years. I have plenty of serial port based hardware. You plug it in. There are literally billions of computers on the planet with serial ports.
Bitcoins are an easy, simple, and safe way for me to donate to freedom loving organizations. No bank fees, no credit card fees, no Paypal (which i refuse to use), etc. Bitcoin (which I can get by doing services for people) work extremely well.
You CAN just donate money without tacking on all of those convenience services, you know...
When you consider that USD and most other currencies are backed by nothing more than the governments that print/mint the stuff, suddenly Bitcoin doesn't seem so fake after all.
Don't be silly. Without the US government, we'd be living in a Mad Max world, and money would be a moot point. The government keeps people from raping and murdering you. The government keeps people from taking anything you own. The government maintains the utilities that allow you to live comfortably. The government also maintains a money system that is relatively stable.
I don't care that Windows Phone 8 is at the bottom. It works great for me. Do you think that Linux users are concerned that their OS of choice is and has been at the bottom for more than two decades...?

When are you going to stop being delusional that an unregulated currency is viable?
This kind of garbage is why money works best when regulated and maintained by a government.
Exactly. That's why the service is so good from Fed Ex and why it's so shitty from UPS.
Oh, quit with the "several attorneys" FUD. It's simple software.
For a supposedly smart guy, he seems a bit silly:
He could've just downloaded MS's Powerpoint 97 viewer

Windows maintains the best backwards compatibility in the industry. Apple, the worst. Why you'd lump these two together is beyond me...

Look people, corporations are greedy bitches that only care about making a profit.
Right, and you only care about paying as little as possible. What's your point?
You are $o $mart!
Kim Dotcom would just eat the other two.
I don't hear anybody complaining about the Fed bailing out GM...
Put a check in the mail.

Your mom called. She wants you to take out the trash.
Star Trek was a rare bastion of (semi)intellectualism on television, technobabble aside.
Wow. Really?
"Unwatchable"? Did you know that you can turn down the brightness on your TV, grandpa?
You have a very limited understanding of how Science works.
I agree with the guy who can't speak English!
Yeah, it's easy to be the fastest growing when your installed base is barely above a statistical rounding error.
You should consider getting a basic math education. You wouldn't know a statistical rounding error if it landed on your head.
It doesn't really even matter. If the gadget does what you need it to do, then it doesn't really matter how popular it is.

I'm not the one parroting the same lame "hehehe yeah, they've grown from 1 to two users" schtick a thousand times over. That's pretty lame.
