Actually I'm wrong, it projects directly onto your retina as near as I can get from reading up. So it is "true heads up". My original opinion was based on that video with the girl looking up at the "projector".
It's a HUGE distraction, you get a txt message projected directly onto your retina, no way to ignore it.
Looks like I'm wrong about heads up, it does display directly into the eye, still going to stay with "distracted Glasshole" and it is bad tech. You are either reading the display or focusing on the road, since most people seem to have trouble driving with no distractions can't imagine how this will help.
You don't get it, a heads up display is projected on to your field of vision, with Glass you have to look at the screen or at the road.
So not "heads up" at all, unless of course you meant "my heads upright but I'm still a distracted Glasshole putting everyone around me in danger" Then yes. Face it it's bad tech.
Remember, if you're writing the app to get rich, make sure it's for mobile use only, that way you get a registered phone number and a confirmed human. Also make sure the app leaks info like a sieve and write the TOS (which no one reads) to include the fact you're going to use all their post, photos, and contacts. The better your app is at data rape, the more Facebook will pay for it.
First, these people (HLS and the Gov in general) can't be trusted, you would never have known about this if they had their way. Second, to "shelve" it means "re-brand the project" and wait a couple of months then implement it. Last, you are going to have to do way more than complain if you want things to change, the noose is tightening everyday while most people are not even aware it's around their neck. http://iweb.tntech.edu/kosburn...
Is spin off a team of younger devs to create an entirely new OS that runs on PC hardware, one that's trim, fast and compatible. As Apple to BSD so should this team be to Windows.
The rule for deploying with this new OS, no 3rd party demo software allowed form OEM's, target gamers and music/vide/photo professionals, and a host of built in apps that are actually pleasant to look at and useful.
People driving cars routinely use their phones and that's against the law, what makes you think Google "asking you to be nice" is going to do anything.
Just watch how much trouble and misery Glass and the Glassholes are going to cause.
The religion of peace, and if you make fun of it we will kill you.
People still use IE?
People are stupid, I see it everyday on the road, they will drive while using Glass and create misery this will be epic carnage.
What planet do you live on? Everyday I see people looking down at their hand while driving.
It's going to be carnage.

It's amusing since Google is also developing a driverless car, and with all the Glassholes soon to wandering around it's a damn good thing.
Doesn't work that way you have to look into the screen, it sits above your FOV.

It *IS* distracted driving.
I have not used Google Glass and I have not read a whole lot about it
Which is why the rest of your musing are so absurd, you still have to look at the "screen".
You might wind up with a bag full of helium over your head.

One of the 4 horsemen of the infocalypse...
Four Horsemen of the Infocalypse: terrorists, pedophiles, drug dealers, and money launderers.
And that's how they take away your rights.
They are tracking and data rape devices, with a phone built in... kind of like a clock in the stomach of a statue of Buddha.
First they came for the Pirates, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Pirate.
Then they came for our privacy, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not doing anything wrong.
Then they came for the Net Neutrality, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not aware or concerned.
Then they came for me--and there was no way left to speak for me.
Unlikely to effect me as I never use WiFi and MIM is a bit less likely over a cell connection.
So the rest of the menu complaints are irrelevant.

Well that really depends on who is delivering the assfucking now doesn't it.
The FCC doesn't have the authority.
Think of all the different foods that use eggs as an ingrediant, it opens the door to more food types for vegans.
This what I found for their "Just Mayo" product.

Or we are doing it wrong, additionally the program could be designed so that you introduce specific rules then allow it to develop its self.
