Precisely. This way when the boss walks past you can jump up and scream "YES, that's it - it was so obvious" and make the project work with the slightest of ease. See, you come out looking like a hero.
I knew if I read (scanned) enough of these threads I would find someone arguing my point of view. This one was at the bottom when I posted this - I am sure there are thousands of other threads saying the exact same thing.
As long as you communicate effectivly thats what matters - if you have typos that end users see then that is embarrasment.
If you are talking typos in code comments - forget about it, it's a comment not a book - as long as you the programmer get what he's trying to do. And besides, you shouldn't be relying on the comment to find out what is going on - the code reads itself remember:)
Definatly destroyed Westwood Studios. I too have boycotted EA - they can't produce a decent game, the other C&C seris are below par and the BF series is no different.
I wasn't impressed with Doom3 for its gaming characteristics either (sure it looked good, it was too dark, repetitive, repetitive and not enough monsers at once - nothing like the monsters in earlier dooms. I did get a lost soul figurine though, so I guess I payed $80- for a lost soul...
Im a relativly new programmer so I don't know what I'll be like in a couple of decades.
