The page has been blocked because the content has been deemed unsuitable or harmful to your computer.

Reason: This category is filtered: Peer to Peer.

That is why Bittorrent will never replace standard downloads - the average home user will be able to get to them fine, but the corporate users will be locked out.

    ... I bought a Mac.

Others I know paid the tax by installing Linux instead of using the Windows OS that shipped with their computer.

If they want to add a tax, perhaps they should refund those of us who do not use Windows.

Dogcows, by their nature, are not all dog, nor are they all cow, but they are a special genetic hybrid. They are rarely seen in the wild. Since dogcows are two dimensional, they will stand facing a viewer "on edge" to avoid being seen. http://www.macfreek.nl/humour/tn31.html

  12. Another way to turn off the Mac startup sound on Vista Startup Sound to be Mandatory? · · Score: 1

If you have a PowerPC Mac, this utility will let you reduce the volume of the startup sound or even turn it off. I've used it on some of our computers at work to reduce the noise of the startup sound.

Not sure if anyone has made something like this for Intel Macs, though.

When the Mac version comes out, will it include the SDK?

I've purchased games that have been ported to the Mac only to discover that the SDK is Windows-only.

That is a big part of the fun of computer games - being able to customize the game!

  14. SQLite on Replacing FileMaker with Free Software? · · Score: 1
The SQLite library will be part of Mac OS X Tiger. Tiger will also feature the Core Data Framework that uses SQLite extensively to provide backend storage.

I wonder how long before it supports other database engines (MySQL, etc)? Then you'd probably be able to layout your forms in Interface Builder and bind the controls to the database... We can wish for it, anyway :-)
