Ubuntu, isnt it debian based? So its not a question of thank god i use ubuntu, that would be a general statement. The Bugs in the debian development do effect ubuntu. But the ubuntu people just make a distro based on debian so the ubuntu gang should not have any probems because its updates are controlled by the ubuntu developers and not the main debian people. work with me i could be right or wrong? ( im just trying to learn.:) )
so my point or question is: Ubuntu and debian are the same but different (.?) So the bugs in the recent release in debian should not break ubuntu but as things get fixed will slow the process of a full switch.
First you need to download a program (bittornado) They can be found for most operating systems. Then you must go to a site to download a torrent file open it with the bittorrent program and thats basically it, read the programs manual.
This should be ONE WORD: Different way of handeling things. There will be attemps on spyware for linux in the future but the fact of the matter is the only way you will be able to get totally infected is if you run your Browser or "spyware" as root. Then you are asking to get infected.
It just wouldnt happen, unless you want it to happen
(please feel free to respond or add anything. Educate me if i am wrong!:) )
I have found that You will spend alot more time fixing a redhat system. Sure you will have to wait for programs to compile but that is the magic of gentoo the reason you wait is because you compile your program with the features that you want! you dont have alsa on your system no need build it into all your programs less is more! so in conclusion you build and configure system yourself instead of fixing someone elses configuration!
