Actually, mosquito control isn't useless. I grew up in Brazil where there was a dengue outbreak in the 80's. They worked hard at making sure the mosquito didn't have an environment to grow and until this year, I hadn't heard of any dengue outbreaks.
My concern with this method is that people who are infected by dengue might be transmitting
the disease (through the mosquito) before
they even realize that they are sick.
If this is the case, the infection cycle wouldn't
be completely broken.
Unfortunately, this year we did have an outbreak and I got Dengue:/ (very painful). I was actually back in the US before I realized that I had dengue.
Anyway, those are my 3 cents (please account for inflation)
True... but the other company wasn't selling stuff... they were sueing stuff.
I don't know if you realize it, but they also sued (however that is spelled) SGI.
And since theif new products ship with Linux now (Suse Linux), I hadly think they are
in the same category.
To solve or party solve this problem is to couple it with a service such as orkut.
Then we could certain users who we would automagically download from.
So when a friend of mine on orkut who likes sitcoms finds/uploads a good show, it would get it from him.
He would be careful not to upload dupes.
Even better still would be an email or SMS that
would allow me to choose which ones I would like to DL : )
Here in Brazil people have been focusing their efforts in making natural gas/gasoline hybrids instead of electric hybrids. They use (which I assume is butane) natural gas along with gasoline. (they can switch to either type of fuel with a press of a button) It has become so popular, that there are gas stations who only sell butane.
Probably not a practical solution in the US, but... it leads to futher thinking : ) (maybe)
This article made me wonder when was the last time the.gov used solar sails... I couldn't remember any (I am not that much of a space guy). So I decided to look up "solar sail" on Google. The first link that came up... planetary.org I have never heard of the site before (almost makes me wonder if it is fake) so I got to thinking... could slashdot have upped the ranks of that website on google? Could this be a newly found slashdot effect?
People dont realize how deadly pornography can be. There is a video that James Dobson (famous psychologist) did about Pornography.
He has the chance of interviewing Ted Bundy (the serial killer) a few hours before he was executed.
WATCH IT!!! The video is called: Pornography: addictive, progressive, and deadly
If you can't see the problem with pornography, then you are probably engulfed in it. Once you can get out, you will be able to see the damage it causes.
There are some good books also on how to do that. Such as: Every Man's Battle. Every Young Man's Battle.
I had a similar problem. My dad, being a preacher, likes to use powerpoint for his sermons. One of his sermons, for some strange reason, kept crashing on a certain slide. OOo however saved the day:)
It would greatly help if they showed someone actually holding one. That way it would be easier to see the actual size. (it gives the dimentions though)

Does Blockbuster have more streaming titles than Netflix?

Of course they are slow, they are nearly 10 years old (more less). You need to convince your management that they need some tezros :)
That would sweet!
Well, they do have new management now. As far as the smart people...
they still know their stuff.
Think of them as a new company, that sells new/different products.
With his expert computer skills in Windows(R) security, Lyttle now currently works for a respectable innovative advertisement company...
