I can't understand why other GUI toolkits don't offer similar functionality. Ii also irritates me when I see a website that implements spell-checking instead of leaving it to the users browser/GUI.
fakechroot*: Gives a fake chroot environment
This package provides a library which overrides libc functions, so it is possible to use root-specific tools without root priviliges.
In fake chroot you can install i.e. Debian boostrap, create developer's environment and build packages inside chroot'ed system using standard non-root user account.
The UserLinux ISVs are (probably) free to set their own price on UserLinux solutions.
BTW, Bruce Perens takes $300/h. Now that's something for the IT managers you mention.
