Yes, I DID RTFA, but am now hosing off my hip waders from all of the BS I had to wade through and don't have the time to post something "Insightful". I think I'm gonna go HEAVE now!

    I agree with you. I think a big part of the problem is if you asked these people what the were doing 4 years ago, the would have to answer "homework for my 9th grade pop-rock class"

    Cold war? Seems pretty proactive to me="hot" war. To me, the scary picture of WHO CAN OWN THE MOST PATENTS are who will control (COMPLETELY!) ALL software (how it's used) if this continues. Don't think for a minute MS doesn't see this...That's what they (not just MS) are counting on. The losers are as usual... us. Even IF this trend turns around or stops, the damage will be done. If trend continues much longer, I don't know that even the "tin foil hat" crowd can envision the implications to us all. We HAVE to figure out how to stop this current insanity!

    *APPLAUS!!!" I agree. The whole "buy up patents to use at a later date" seems to me just an *insurance policy* to "hedge your bets" against inept admin/policy for large companies anymore. It makes me TIRED!

    NAT on router, Avast (free!)AV, AdAware and SpyBot S&D,Tiny Personal Firewall, and Firefox on boxes. I had many problems before switching to Firefox, but since then almost none. Don't use Outlook(never have).
