What someone was talking about above sounds like something they tried with Nuclear weapons in the 60's with that idea of a charge going off every so often and a backplate protecting the crew. Well that didn't work out, because the expsoion needed to lift off would destroy the launch site and anything there as well. With a Nuclear reaction you could have a nearly self susistaining launch vehical having the size to contain everything you would need (i.e. a whole barn yard for food and stuff) for a long term mission, like to say mars. Which would only take about 6months or less. or so they planned way back when this was a new idea. But of course that little bit about the Nuclear blast and the anti-nuclear movement killed the idea.
"Increased hurricane frequency" huh that will never happen, oh wait that did just happen in florida this season. Now if three hurricanes in a roll don't tell ya something then you all are going to be the ones underwater and still saying that it will never happen. IT should seen as a possible threat and maybe it would turn out to be not such a one at all. That after much study, for we found out after some time that the Ozone hole wasn't so much our fault as it was that the arctic enviroment that started it and we just helped it along. Now it has stabilized thanks to our measures to curb our output of CFC's. Now if only some people would stop bashing things like this so much and open their glued shut eyes and look towards this as real. And if you want to prove your right show us stories that say otherwise and not some weekly world news article. Their are alot more news items about this than those discounting such facts. Read and put forth actual news and not some off beat carp you think is real...
Well if you studing Hibernation, someone has to eventualy try and take a "sample" from a sleeping bear. Thus, why that guy in the "Bear-Proof" suit started on his apparently mad quest to build that strange contraption. He sold the prototypes on Ebay which was listed here some time ago. But his plan may soon be needed if the ESA has their way.
Use an Airsoft rife/shotgun/handgun, or even Semi-autos and Machine guns. I Found out about this extreamly realistic BB guns while on a trip to the Wis Dells. One of their shops had an MP5 with just about all the acc on it. I have it now and it would make someone look twice before invading my home, but mostly i use it for paintball target parctice (they make 6mm BB's and 6mm paint balls for it) Its only a cheap model but a little baint on the barrel and its like the real thing, it even has a laser sight for extra effect.
Back to topic, They have metal versions of shotguns that sound likt the real thing. you wouldn't have to worrie about getting in trouble or going through the permits of the real thing, only check your local laws reguarding them, The Wis Dells has stores that sell them, just you can't use them in public there. If the shotgun doesn't scare them, a P90 would make them look twice.
