It's not the same one, the "OT Tuner" that has been out for a while is configurable, this one isnt. Maybe it's possible to use the old "OT Tuner" to remove the DoS problem too, not sure..
Doesnt seem like Apple is advertising this in any way, so it's only the 24/7-news-reading ppl who will update, at least for now.. But MacOS 9.0.1 is on the way, and that should contain the patch and be vide spread..
Cable (ethernet in my case), is *loads* cheaper than modem in sweden, and.. try to put together a quality pc for the price of a highend G4.. yah, you might be able to get the same or slightly below that price, if you don't buy 3:d party "stuff" from all over the place, and don't even mention celeron:P and how about warranty on that box? (not that I've ever needed my warranties, as I've been a mac user since 87..) Cya.

Could anyone really take that guys site for real? "evidence of a conspiracy to shut down Internet Connections", yeah, right.. It does seem on the page as if he is pro-mac, so I have no idea why he would post this.. but who knows what mental state he is in:)
why use good looking cases when you can improvise any way you want? My linux server is an old Acer mb in a MacIIsi box, with the powersupply and hd sitting on top, totally screwless. works as good as my fancy b&w G3 (way slower though:P).

Of course you are DoS'd if someone uses up all your network bandwidth, even if your computer doesnt crash, you are still beeing DoS'd.

They did fix the cgi flaw in OS X Server quickly enough.
Apple got it out about an hour after the slashdot post, very good compared to "other" software companies..
