The only use I see for this would be to ignore those frequent callers that call about nothing, and forwarding them to the mail.. but if you end up wanting to talk to the person.. You're going to have to end up squirming through your handbag etc anyway to find the phone, AND you've just wasted like 2 out of the 8 or 10 seconds that the phone would usually ring for. Another reason would be so that ladies with purses would get to know when their cellphone is ringing, if they left it on vibrate or whatever, but the watch doesn't look lady-like :/

Why did someone decide after this long to research it? Or would some guy grow up thinking "Hmm, he probably meant this, I'll devote my life to it!" IMO, good trivia, but i think a very low percentage really care enough to change their lives or current lifestyle.

I didn't get the core system, the remote for the 360 has a faily decent layout. As far as the HD goes, I probably would fill it up pretty quickly, but I would just go out and get another HD, or store them on an external hd.

They have the ability to move things to the 360 as far as movies go.. But before I posted this I checked their media and they just had movie trailers. If they were able to put stuff like BSG series' up on there, I would be happy.

I think that if Microsoft started doing this with Live on the 360. They could probably do just as well or even better in this department. If I could download BSG to my 360 and watch it at will, I'de be in heaven. The difference between Apple and microsoft is that apple probably already has the distribution rights for these from iTunes. And quite possibly might have them exclusively. Which would make it a problem, however, if MS could get a hold of this I think they would see more purchases from people who enjoy gaming, and also enjoy watching their favourite shows when they want. And it would make it a definative choice over other consoles for this ability.

If they do manage to get the stuff up-to-date, with a big enough database. I think this is something that I would go for aswell. It seems very useful to be able to come home, sit in front of the television and pick out things you want to watch, go make a sandwich or something and come back and start the show while the rest downloads.

The posts containing text reading that accidental loss of data is going to be frequent. The article does not give many details about the item, however it does say that there will be a pickpocket mode. Which means that if you are walking around town with it you should have that mode turned on.. while at home, you should have it turned off. If you're on the bus, have it turned on.. While in the car, have it turned off. It's going to be a simple daily routine for most people when they get around to filling it in, and getting used to it is going to be the tough part. But when people get it down they will not have their important data out in the open if it does get removed at a time when it should be turned on. It's a pickpocket mode, which means that it's going to stop it from being lifted out of a jacket or pants pocket while in the subway.

Lowering a cable will pose many variable problems to do with weather/wind/air traffic/troublesome kids. For one, i dont think a space station could be that stable in orbit to have it so a REALLY strong wind wouldn't be able to push it off course and then some drastic evacuation procedure would have to take place. As said somewhere else in the thread, air traffic would be a huge problem. And before anyone suggests it, having lights on most of it might work if you can find a way so the lights never burn out because someone would have to get up there and fix them. And using the elevator to do so might be tricky because it has to be in an air tight environment if it wants to be in space. I don't believe that a "space elevator" is really possible and never could be stable. Which SHOULD be a main concern of everyone, if the tower somehow collapsed from whether, a malfunction. It would fall somewhere, and its path would be destroyed for about 200km or something along those lines. A cable isn't practical and a "tower" will never be safe.

They could possibly have stages in which they judge time. Someone's code who is 1 line longer but is handed in 30 minutes later might be cut down in score for that. But on the other hand, someone's code who is 150 lines longer and handed in 20 minutes later might not get any penalty. Then effieciency of the code will be looked at and then judge whether the team has performed efficiently in their "number of lines : purpose of program" Ratio. I know that being able to code fast is important, but having efficient code is important as well. For system resources and for upgrading POV's. Having 2 coders that work on the same project both finishing in the same time. But with hefty different amounts of lines will bring in the same amount of money for the company. But upgrading will be easier for the person with less code.
