Shareware is different than commercial games where you're actually tring to make serious money out of it... And yes, its true that people only pirate software to try it out and only make backup copys of dvds they own, etc... P.S.: I got this nice bridge in Brooklin that I'm willing to sell for cheap. Interested?

I wonder how long their company is going to last if people can just download the games and freely distribute them on, say, bittorrent...

Yes... the problem is precisely that there are too many solutions out there. I was hoping to get first hand advice from someone who has had this same problem before since I can't just test all the solutions to see which one works better.

That is the general idea. I'm not looking for a CMS that translates the pages for me (a real person will do that and it will be checked by a native speaker of the language in question), just one that manages the different versions efficiently, allows for quickly jumping between languages and defaults to, say, english when a version in the requested language is not available.

The current version of the site uses text links with the name of the Language: "English Portuguese Japanese..." on the top right hand corner of the page. The flags was just an example.

Microsoft is keeping everyone at hotmail since MSN Messenger is tied into it.
Not really... you can use third-party email addresses with MSN Messenger (if you survive the 10000 "are you sure you don't want Hotmail" messages). I use MSN almost daily and I haven't had a Hotmail account since the time they came with 1MB storage!
  9. LyX on Note-taking Software for Unix? · · Score: 4, Informative

I've been using LyX (http://www.lyx.org/) to take research notes for quite some time. It has all the advantages of Latex (it runs latex in the background to generate the PS, PDF, etc..) combined with a sexy GUI with floating menus for the math stuff (so you don't have to remember all of those "crazy" names) as well as letting you directly type the ones you do know by heart... All in all, the best thing since sliced bread... at least for note taking (notes in sliced bread tend to get mouldy after a couple of weeks!)
