I would argue that, regardless of whichever side of the Sony/Nintendo battlefield you find yourself, that you must consider that the performance of the hand held is second only to the quality of games the hand held supports.
Personally, I find both systems to be inadequate in terms of performance because of the inherent problems with portable technology; that is to say, short battery life, relatively poor sound quality, and Liquid-Crystal Displays.
I am sure that most of the games will be garbage, as most games have been garbage for the past decade. I hope there are a few gems in the lineup, and if there are, I intend to buy them, rip them, and emulate the hardware on my PC so I can enjoy a much more entertaining gaming experience.
