Shadowbane technically sucked; graphics, lag, server issues. Gameplay was bar none some of the best I have seen. It actually had good PVP. Character creation was far more interesting than any other game on the market.
As for the future mmo's need to evolve because they have 1 fatal flaw. There is no adventure. The games just dont give you the sense of purpose that a traditional Role Playing game, dice or computer. The ideas and adventures that make Dungeons and Dragons great are not reflected in these games due to the lack of an epic quest.
What I would like to see is an MMO have a game like this that is an epic quest. Dont ask me how they would do it, I have no idea. When players can have an adventure like that of Lord of the Rings, a game you can play for 2 years on a giant adventure with your friends. You can beat the game, interact with hundreds of users, and after beating the game, get the expansion and have your next epic quest.
Great so now people will have even more of a reason to be stupid and where sunglasses inside!
BTW is the guy just sitting there yelling supposed to be X-Treme to the max or something?
Amen! One should avoid simply voting for the lesser of two evils, that is a huge problem in this country. I am tired of hearing "well at least he is not Bush!'
You mean to tell me that Kerry's platform could be IM NOT BUSH! VOTE FOR ME! and people would honestly do it when there are third party candidates more strongly representing your view?
I am tired of this. America should be smarter than this, I do not want the better of two evils I want the best of many goods!
Of course we don't, but here is the funny part, I am putting the blame on the industry. Under our economic system the obvious solution is to embrace the technology. Instead corporations have been trying to ignore it and instead push litigation against the consumer.
I believe that if downloadable music was worth the cost more people would buy, instead of steal. The simple fact is that 99 cents a song just isn't worth it. Who even came up with that price? I am using my computer, my burner, and my cd's, or my mp3 player to get my music. There is no cost for them to transport, package, label, burn...etc. We should be seeing some kind of cost reflected to the consumer.
Instead we see songs being sold for more than what they cost ln a cd. IE cd with 14 songs= 12.99 thats less than 14 a song.
If the industry wants to see a drop in piracy make the online service affordable, make the music better, something. The more the music labels, music industry, etc. keep up this rediculous fight, the more they will look like the giant evil corporation, and the easier it will be for people to justify piratting.
The problem that we see here though is that, yes these groups need more help, I will not argue with you on that. I have all the respect in the world for manual labor jobs, and have no fear of manual labor myself. I also have no problem with an office job.
On the other point what I do see as a problem is when a group is berated for their status. I am tired of hearing a battle cry against the wealthy as if its their fault for our economic problems.
Maybe we need a party that embraces all social classes and seeks to create a community of understanding and goodwill. In such a scene maybe the wealthy would not feel the need to protect their wealth, and be more willing to support social programs.
Where do I derive that from, I derive that from the definition you applied to a symbiotic relationship. 1. Biology. A close, prolonged association between two or more different organisms of different species that may, but does not necessarily, benefit each member. 2. A relationship of mutual benefit or dependence. 1. defenition doesn't count for yours either so we will leave it. We do see though that the relation ship need to come from a specific organism..ie. two or more different.. 2. The second definition definatly applies here to both cases, as some handicapped people, without the aid of another person would not survive. That is in all technicality a symbiotic relationship, as you apply the term.
So we see they are related, and what you overlook is that the individual that would be undergoing termination, in the case of abortion, is not able to speak to a councelor. Your example says the disabled individual would be talking to a counceler, not the family. Saying the family would get counceling and advice on terminating the life of their handicapped son would be more appropriate.
The main difference is that a fetus is a symbiote, it can't exist without its mother."
By this logic we can deduce that, if a fetus cannot live without a mother than it can be sacrificed. A crippled person that cannot survive without aid should then also be sacrificed?
One would then of course realize that the stated view makes absolutely no sense.
I have a feeling that this issue will never be resolved. The simple fact is that some people feel that this is a life. Scientific evidence, that it is or is not living, is pretty useless.
"The world ends for more and more American soldiers and their families each month because we are in Iraq. President Bush put us in Iraq."
Sure he is the commander in chief, but sorry trying to pin point the cause of our actions to only President Bush, is like saying that only the President is responsible for the economy.
This is not a dictatorship, sorry, others pushed for this war too. Bush may ultimatly have to answer for this war, but I cannot with a clear conscience be narrow minded enouph to point a finger at one man and say, "its your fault."

"realize that your "hard work" is not even on the same scale as daily manual labor"
I find this kind of elitist bull crap incredibly annoying. Just because someone is paid less or does manual labor does not grant them an "I make less money so I work harder" button.
Many people work all of their lives to get to a place of prestige or wealth. To undermine that by saying that because they succeded they should be punished, or not represented is simply narrow minded.
If it ok for the Green party, or any party, to say that because of your Income we don't have room for you, then why is their an uproar about Republicans having a constituency in the top 1% and trying to help them?
Just the concept seems to lack real judgement.
Basically it seems that the natural conclusion from this is that we would simply, once again, end up with the candidate who didn't take a stance.
Both candidates would line up as close to the middle of the road as possible to take in as many second place votes as possible. Pretty soon we would have a candidate that has the character of a wet dishrag.
I particullary enjoyed his comment on "reproductive rights" which I feel should have read "deproductive rights" No matter what your stance on the issue lets call it what it is, abortion.
He had some good points, but many that just seemed to fall short, mainly his plan to lead us to a socialist state which will simply never work.
It is lauphable to me that the government would actually help people get a TV, aren't there more important social concerns that my tax dollars could go to?

IT really is as Simple as that.

As I posted earlier, many people are not viable on their own. Should they too be considered for termination?

"When does life start exactly?"

How can you determine life?

Does no one own a radio anymore?
