Even if you could get a clean (totally up to date) install of Windows, you still need to install all those other apps... I've found it so much easier to just image a base system I like with Acronis and then restore that image onto the new system.
If I'm a little behind on Windows updates, it will catch up that first night when it runs update automatically at 3am.
I get concerned whenever we try to force people to use common sense. America has always been about us having the rights and freedom to screw up our own lives.
Another crazy example - in Charlotte, NC you can be fined for leaving your car unlocked at the gas station when you go inside to pay for your gas!
All vehicles there have a chime that sounds whenever you go over the speed limit. The easy way to bypass it was to disconnect the speedometer cable where it attached to the transmission.
Then you couldn't tell what speed you were going.
Seems like there is a similarly easy hardware-hack for this one out there...

Amazing!
If you look at a lot of things that we take for granted today, many would have trouble getting past the lawyers
Can you imagine putting electricity in homes today? I mean, that stuff can kill you if you touch it!
What saves us, and allows our society to progress technologically, is that the big companies and the lawyers never see it coming until it is too late.
That's the way it has happened in the past, and the way it will continue to happen.
