You read it. No really. READ IT! They are going to comply with all laws of the country in which their servers are hosted. In this case Sealand. Which means, no kiddy porn. NOTHING ELSE. Oh well. I wouldn't be so pissy about it if you weren't getting so high and mighty about other people reading the article.
Also not a lawyer. But I'm in the content creation side of the biz and I make it my business to know something about copyright. Fair use is generally the side of copyright that covers the protection of the greater good. The state of the art. It allows you to use works to create transformative works (the biggest example is parody) it also allows you to use snippets (or possibly complete works) for educational use (videos in classrooms) or for review/comment purposes (either to say it's a good/bad piece of work, here's a snippet to sho you why, or to say that the views expressed in it are good or bad.
The other things that have fallen into the/. definition of fair use have been making backup copies (applies definitely to sofware, I don't know so much with traditional media things) and space/time shifting. Space and time shifting are definitely valid points. OK. There it is and yes, legally what the copy protection schemes + the DMCA are doing effectively ends the comsumers rights of fair use.
maybe. Current macrovision is pretty smart about those types of things. Considering what they do to VHS is essentially a watermark (except that it just screws up the timing signal) what they're probably doing is adding something to the signal. That is unless they're just basically putting something on the disk that says "I am not copyable" then yes D2A2D would work, but I guess I'm saying is don't count on it.
if you read the article (carefully, I know it's hidden) then you'd see that the Vertex shaders ARE for lighting. The input of the vertex shader is a raw vertex and the output is a transformed and lit vertex. The pixel shaders are for AA and things.
well, before you use it for commercial flights you make sure the breather (condenser?) is reliable. Complexity!=high failure rate. It's an engineering problem. And I'm not sure, but some fuel is saved by using the air breather to get some speed and a lot of altitude right? Not to mention the taking off from regular airports thing. and on a side note != is three keystrokes only one keystroke savings over not equal and really takes longer. Strange finger reach. Oh well.
hey, I don't want unbiased reporting. I want loads of bias and some prejudice and opinions in there. That's what/. is for. What people think about stuff. All the better if the opinions start off by being in slanted headlines. Makes for better discussions.
yeah. I've hung out with a crazy ex-navy Seal who for a while made his money bombing ships for Greenpeace. He could be lying, but from his tone and manner, probably true. Oh well. Gotta love the environmental crazies
gaffer's tape, (what we're talkig about here) is great for temporary things, it's great in fairly hot places, it's not so great for a good airtight seal, it's not good for leaving on for more then a month and DEFINITELY don't get corrosive chemicals near it. So in short, to be fully prepared for taping things you need both.
one more translation. I tried An operating system is no better then the person running it. (a topic near and dear to all of our hearts) and ran it through their portuguese translator (the one that seems to give the worst translations and got this
an operating system is no better then the person running it.
a system operating itself is not better then the person who functions.
a system that is operated is not better then the person who functions.
