No real worth? What is Slashdot worth? What is any website worth? A plot of land or a business in Second Life has as much value as as anything on the internet. Everything on the internet is nothing more than a bunch of data, being on the internet or being in a Virtual World is nearly one in the same. How many people do you know that sit there and chat all day, or troll forums and never actually do anything? There are plenty of them out there. I will admit, I have been in Second Life for over 2 years now, and more than anything it's interesting to see the views that people take on a Virtual World like Second Life, as if it were any different from the stuff thats all over the internet.
they can laugh all they want at it but I am profiting from the sale of goods within second life and for me its free money beyond what i pay yearly for a small chunk of virtual land. If you really want to see this in action then take a look at one of the players of second life who no longer has a real life job because she is buying and selling mass amounts of land and making a fortune, if you dont believe me then go track down Anshe Chung in the game. I realize i still sounds dumb but frankly if someone has an idea they cant make in real life and they think people in a virtual world will dig it then go produce it in-game and sell it and then in turn sell your money and go buy a new computer, then who is laughing?
They had a car on techtv about 3 years ago now made by an american car company that is FASTER than a ferrari and can easily beat the ferrari off the line because its lighter. Its an amazing car and I am sure you can find it by googling electric super car.
It has the apple brand name behind it? Wow that is about the most idiotic statement I have ever heard. If things with the apple brand name sold then it would be assumed that more than 3% of the computer out there would be Apples. It sells so well because apple users right away knew this product smoked all those stupid rio products on the market and then the word traveled. Now if you personally think that Sony's more expensive with lower memory device is better then I would love to hear why.
Here is my take on this. The arizona residents sit there in thier suburban palace in this private neighborhood and they watch the local news and see a report on wardriving. Then because they have visited so many bad pr0n sites and have so many versions of spyware and the likewise on the system that the AP is always going crazy. Automatically they assume that because there is a car outside(probably belonging to a meter reader) they think its an "evil hacking wardriver" that wants to steal all that is holy to them. Just makes me sit back and laugh at the ignorance, funtimes!
