He was a motorcylist and hated cars, he suggested the best safety device I have ever hear of, a steel rod connected to the front bumper, coming up through the steering column and ending in a sharp point 6 inches from the drivers face, this would force the driver to concentrate.
Automatic driver aids, like ABS and traction control make the driver feel safer, and so they will take more risks, I for one detest these devices.
