What do you mean "you can thank Europe for funding the expeditions that got to America, giving you a good third, if not half of scientific advancement over the millennia" etc? Most of the Americans ARE Europeans, just further down the line. You act like Europe found some wayward "Americans" over here and gently brought us up to speed... we ARE the Europeans that brought America up to speed.
I had a Dreamcast. It failed. It miserably failed. The quality games that were released were few and far between. The fact that Sega went under confounded this even further. The Sega Dreamcast failed, and I believe the only reason so many people insist it didn't is fanboyship (a powerful force in the gaming world).
I know I'm going to get modded down for this, and none of you want to hear it, but honestly I find Windows to be the best operating system out at the time. Windows has a monopoly because it's easier for people to use, even though it "sucks". Nobody wants to learn how to use FreeBSD or Linux or whatever. You geeks may think it's easy, but it's a pain. Also, the more people that use Linux/FreeBSD the more people will make things to screw them up like they do Windows.
The only operating system comparable in it's ease of use is OSX. I agree that Mac is probably losing thanks to the monopoly, because one of the reasons people turn down Macs is the belief that they'll be left out of the Windows world.
Coupling a performance like this with a 3D Projected likeness of the artist would be mindblowing. The projection wouldn't even have to be very good.. but being able to visualize the person while hearing the digital "passion" in their notes.. live.. would be something amazing.
The 'Cola' and 'Grocery Store' comparisons I've heard are a little off. In those examples, you're comparing two products that have a similar purpose. That'd be like comparing the iShuffle to all other MP3 players, or comparing a Rolex to other watches.
The debate here would be analagous to someone making imitation Rolexes that are exact, blatant aesthetic ripoffs. What's wrong with that, you say? The only reason anyone wants a fake Rolex is because it looks like a Rolex, but is much cheaper. Here, people might want to buy the Super Shuffle because they think it's just a cheaper (not sure), better (could be soundwise) iShuffle with more features.
Also: Someone posted a remark saying it couldn't use iTunes. Are you sure? I'm sure that could be easily cracked if the hardware inside is similar at all. What software do they plan on providing the users with otherwise?

You fail to take into consideration how infrequently this happens. I would definitely pay a simple dollar to find out what some mystery song is.

Comcast has decided to ally up with the RIAA.
