Maybe there is a difference between countries, but the dutch sites are doing reasonably well. Finding/dating keeps on being frustrating, especially for the/. crowd since, well, this is not the sort of people adept with the best communication skills, so when using those sites my feeling was also that most other subscribers was too high demanding. But it worked in the end, also for a number of my family members (also non-tech females) and quite some friends.
And there are a lot of females too using it seriously and, although initially too high demanding, have come down to more realistic perspective. And it has become more widely accepted.
Is there a difference between countries (no US vs EU bashing intended)?
I would love this, speaking from the country with the most automated speeding camera's in the world (Netherlands, probably in absolute numbers even the most). These photo's are only valid if it is your car in the photo. If the paint color doesn't match the specified color in the car registration: invalid ticket. And if the police stops by your house to check the car, its cooled down, so no ticket for an invalid registration.
But there probably make some rule, for this too (america might have most lawyers, where sick of the civil cervants making rules for everything).
Please don't, as this is also a nice gathering tool for measuring the slashdot effect and see if our replicated web server is holding out. We are using a dozen machines over the world to host the content.
You're almost right, even the human body becomes negatively bouyant below a certain depth, because the pressure compresses the body. With a semi-dry suit this happens around about 10m, but it also happens without a suit.
And with a real steal tank you'll definitly sink (unless you are seriously fat). Steal tanks are in use in the Netherlands much, but most other countries use aluminium (which is still a lot more heavier than carbon, but never heard of plastic).
Carbon tanks need extra weights, you're right, and are too fragile for most uses. I recognize the part of dry mouth though, even salt water tastes nice in those circumstances.
