I thought patents were a way to stop someone from stealing another person's idea or invention. However, it seems that most of the patent lawsuits lately are against people and companies who invented similar things without stealing anything.
How is anything considered your intellectual property when another person acquired the same "property" without any knowledge of you?
I see more and more people on the city bus with iPods. And these aren't your standard everyday geeks. These are the hardcore ghetto types. It is the most striking image to see one of those guys with that wussy little white iPod case.
When I see those people, all I can think of is ripping those little white earphones out of their ears and shaking them down for lunch money. Then I realize that they're still the hardcore ghetto types and I'm still the geek, and I return to day dreaming about being able to afford an iPod.
I find it pretty funny that most people don't realize that Tucker Carlson is not, in fact, a GOP mouthpiece. He is a self-proclaimed libertarian who, on multiple times, has criticized the Bush administration.
There seems to be this weird occurance sweeping the Internet, where you are considered anti-establishment if you are a libertarian. The fact of the matter is, if a famous libertarian like Tucker Carlson can be considered the mouthpiece of the GOP and attacked on that basis, how exactly can you libertarians maintain your holier-than-thou attitude if you share his beliefs?
