I think it just means that we will not give you an official SLA, nor any guarantees.
basically our only assurance that these things work is Google's name and their reluctance to get embarrassed.
And I'm OK with that.
Now you can take a drive out of the laptop with a complete copy of all the data, and the user might not even realize it. Just think of the possibilities!
Two comments:
1) There are those who want the most tricked-out Xbox 360 possible, even if it costs $1000 in components
2) 3 years later I can probabbly get a graphics card with twice the specs for $100.
Not yet, but we can always hope for improvements the next time around.
Buying a new graphics card and/or a new processor might be cheaper than buying the XBOX3 (the 720?) in a few years.
Nothing really new here, other than the requirement for HDTV displays.
It is annoying that everythign is custom. That means no upgrading other then by buying a new box from MS.
I can understand that publishing all over the world on the same day is a little rough.
While it would be nice to just download the software and pay the developers the fee, there are stores to keep happy.
There has been so much bad press about this game, and the expansion. I don't understand most of it. The game is pretty decent, and lots of people have fun with it.
Perhaps people are just deleting the MP3 they got 4 years ago (when 64kb was the most common) and relacing it with newer ones at 192 or better. The new ones could be any of a variety of flavors, based on personal preference, operating system or just plain availability.

Except a lot of ISPs just got rid of a whole lot of newsgroups, including the alt.binaries that peoples used for files (legit and otherwise).
Isn't this just what alt.binaries was doing for the ISPs? Local caching? And they just got rid of those.
