I bought a Mac Mini,
The progression was iTunes Windows -> iPod -> iMac (for my wife) ->Mac Mini & Shuffle
I thought I'd just kick the tires on the Mini but it quickly has become *the* computer I use. My PCs are only used for Windows dev and increasingly I'm looking for OS-agnostic alternatives. It's amazing what happens when you unwrap your entrails from the Microsoft technology stack.
Bottom line: I'm never going back.
"this is why Trillian 3.0 is made to look and feel more like a Windows XP application in the preferences system and whatnot"
Unfortunately, Trillian copied one of the worst aspects of the Windows XP user experience - the bloated control panel category view.

Now that Microsoft is porting Avalon to XP, perhaps they need to modify IE so it can host Avalon applications.
