Indeed the internet is a useful tool.
I personally google drug names to check that they are a common prescription for whatever affliction my doctor thinks ive got, and if there are any side effects that my doctor forgot to mention, or didnt know about.
The important thing is not to completely dismiss your doctor, or if you dont trust him/her that you find a different one.
