Besides info, you can occasionally find money. A bond friend of mine that does surety work for banks says that a lot of the losses are often attributed to money being thrown away (knocked into the trash can or mixed with a pile of paper) and not employee theft.
DOJ sues them for giving their products away and crushing competition all the while increasing their monopolistic presence.....so as a remedy MS is forced to give away their products to school kids thus crushing competition and increasing their monopolistic presence. Sounds fair.
How is this different than a misdirected fax? Although potentially embarrassing for me a recipient of a misdialed fax is ethically oblicated to ingore/trash it.
AFAIK they aren't legally obligated to pretend they didn't see but certainly ethically.
I really don't see the problem with not owning your apps. I mean what windows user digs out their copy of Word 6 and drafts a letter? The complexity of modern word processors have made earlier versions worthless. If I can save money by renting the apps for two years, great. I would've upgraded anyway at full price so what's the diff. The old crap is useless.
I completely agree. My friends and I spend many a day just vegetating in from of that damn game. Back then it was something special to have a red turtle, not like in N64 where you get 3 at a time, to fire off like an idiot because you knew you get another in a few seconds. And what about the battle part? That rocked in snes, but was completely unplayable in n64. Damn you Nintendo.

If I couldn't get away with playing games on my TI-82, I seriously doubt this is gonna fly.

No more tux.
In 20 years you'll probably be lucky to find a cdrom drive.
