I didn't see any fireball. Just a large explosion... A black cloud with lots of brown dust mixed in, shooting 3-400 feet into the air... Mostly straight up with one very large piece flying off to the south-southwest followed quickly by a loud BOOM (I was about 1/2 mile away at the time so the sound and pressure wave were a bit delayed) but it most certainly was a "detonation".
...being considered a troll on Groklaw is more a badge of honor than an insult these days.
I heartily agree, and it saddens me deeply to see what has become of a once outstanding website/blog.
I fear a certain somebody is losing her perspective in all this.

SuSe 9.1 on a Dell Inspiron 8500
EVERYTHING worked correctly from the start...
Including the modem and the port replicator (neither of which worked correctly with WindowsXP which it was shipped with without a few frustrating hours of effort)
