    At least Russia had the good sense to stop building new nukes when there was no money left. The USA just keeps on borrowing more.

    That said, the premise of TFA is correct - we don't need to spend ALL the money we're currently spending on nuclear weapons, but the hard question is what is a reasonable level and spread.

    In the next ten years? Zero would be a good amount. Economic collapse is a much bigger threat than Korea/China.

    Duh! That's beacause there were no airplanes when it was written. If there had been they would have been mentioned along with "highways".

    There is a legal right to fly though.

    So...anything not in the constution is fair game for Goverment to trample all over?

    You know why "amendments" were added to the constution? Because the government tried stuff like this before. The difference is that the people back then had balls and stood up to the government. Today the country is full of sheeple like you.

    Nope, YOU'RE the one who needs a clue.

    Go ask a few musicians if they have enough CPU power for their sequencers (eg. FL studio, Reason, etc).

    Why would mixing audio be CPU bound?

    Audio programs like FL studio run out of CPU *very* quickly - you can have hundreds of sounds playing, all with effects processing, etc. I tried running it on a netbook once but it had no chance of keeping up...

    Google for "mars rover", "cassini mission", etc. Which part of that isn't space exploration.

    The big albatross around NASA's neck is the shuttle and ISS. They cost a fortune and don't achieve much. Dump *those* and there'll be plenty of money left over.

    NASA's budget should still be a national shame though. It's a drop in the ocean compared to the wars and bank hand^wbailouts.

    True, but mostly it's expensive because they send people up there. If they dumped the ISS and shuttle (which they should have done a long time ago IMHO) there'd be plenty of money for the really useful stuff, eg. Webb Telescope, DSCOVR, etc.

    In short, the answer is yes, management is that bad at NASA.

    ...yet we can still afford two billion a year to air-condition the tents in Afghanistan/Iraq.

    Fact: A terrorist could hide stuff up his butt. Drug dealers do it all the time, that's how cell phones get into prisons, etc.

    Think about that the next time you're being groped. The guy behind you could have a huge sausage of C4 in his butt and the clown who's currently massaging your packet wouldn't have a hope of finding it.

    Feel safer yet?

    I don't think TSA agents are pedophiles, though it would certainly be an appealing job for someone who was.

    A lot of them are (statistics say so and some have been convicted...)
