What is it going to take for us all to realise that we humans are the result of some genetic manipulation by the Gods? Maybe the decoding of the model, revision number and perhaps a corporate logo in all that junk DNA? There are just too many *random* mutations for my liking. And how come these random mutations havent happened in other species, some of which have been unchanged for tens of millions of years? Isnt it also a little strange how electronics and computer technology suddenly boomed around the time of the early UFO reports? Who knows, maybe even UNIX and TCP/IP came from the Gods?
Nano is BIG, or it will be. The question is, how many will it employ? As Bucky Fuller noted many years ago, mankind has an ever increasing ability to produce more and more, with ever less human labour. Everything we could possibly need, free or very cheap. I don't know what implications it all has for capitalism though...
It is only a matter of time before we all have access to theoretically unlimited bandwidth. Of course corporations will do their best to prevent this,(unlimited availability=0 value) and governments, especially now, will bring forward security concerns. The folks at http://www.dirc.net have the right idea, except that one day it will be publicly owned, rather than copropate. If it doesn't happen, we are back to fascism!
