it would be one thing if they were rejecting application on the basis of their gender but because they didn't get female applications if must just mean not so many women would be interested. And really then who cares? Sponsering only women to participate is discrimination. If people want to participate they should apply and then be judged on the quality of their application. If less people of a certain group apply then it's their loss for not even trying to apply. Some might argue that they're discouraged from applying somehow based on where it's advertised etc but that's relly a bunch of bs.
When I heard about this
I sort of had assumed it'd be text based
I was kinda suprised to see pictures in this article and learn this.
Pictures are limitations. The ccool thing about D and D for me was that it is a lot more open to the imagination.
Maybe I'm missing something. but how could this work?
If every single company didnt do this then the one that didnt do it would get all the business and the others would be screwed.
It seems like the time for something like this to actualyl hapepn would have been in the earlier days of the net and the time has passed.
Then there's also the issue of if that perosn has all their music from those cds on their computer.
Just because the cds are gone doesnt mean the digital music is gone
I really don't get the appeal of this show. I watched it a couple of times because I'd heard so much about it and it just seemed like complete crap. All of the expiriments I saw had such obvious flaws in the way they were excecuted so that they really didnt do anything that could prove if the myth was true or not.
Love how the article makes it sound like only the bad guys do that.
Maybe the people setting up the domain just don't think its anyone's business and that's why they gave fake info.
It would be kinda of fun if a lot of people on myspace said in their profiles that they go to that school. Then the school would waste a lot of time looking to suspend people who don't really go to their school
"As far as psychologists arguing about its existance, I don't see how, it's in the DSM-IV."
The DSM isn't set in stone. It's evolved over time and likly will continue to evolve. Homosexuality was listed in an earlier version of it and now it's not in there anymore.
Good
But they still also need to make it so that it's easier for American's to buy songs that are right now only in international stores.
And they need to make it easier for independent bands to get their music up there, because right now the selection of music is pretty pathetic. Fine if you're into the most popular music but something a bit more obscure (not even that obscure mind you) and they don't have it.
Still havn't found what to use my free download I got for trying a pair of pants on at the gap on -_-
This is kinda old news. My school's been using these to teach geometry for a number of years.
They're pretty neat.
If you bump into them though it messes up the ability to write on it and it's a pain in the behind to recaliber.
"My idea (and I'm completely serious, I think this would work if it caught on!) is to get people to use IM and chat room clients that check the grammar and spelling of anything they type, and then refuse to transmit anything that's incorrect. People will over time develop impeccable linguistic skills! "
That or people could just shun anyone who spells poorly or uses bad grammer. In 7th grade I was introduced to the wonderful world of text based MUDs and I typed horribly and I did the whole spelling you "u" type thing. But people yelled at me every time I did that in the MUD so I stopped eventually:)

I have to disagree
I think the Talking Heads were a great band

Wow, now there really is a device that can stab someone in the face over the internet
