since DNA is considered very reliable in pinpointing the culprit, it could also be used to prime innocent people with great accuracy.
just imagine being framed for a crime which you were no where close of, using DNA from ur hair. that kind will thing will surely cause major trouble as it is implemented in a more widespread fashion.
also checking for DNA is not so easy.... atleast not as easy as fingerprint matching or blood report.
I hope i am correct.... but latency does not relate in any way to speed.
While it is true, that having a slow connection (bandwidth wise) means larger latencies, but having a large latency does not mean small bandwidth.
What happens is that interactive traffic suffers in 2 way sat connections because each party is waiting for acknoledgements. However when one way commn is done, like downloading large files (via HTTP or FTP), the connection is super. The first byte takes 800 ms to arrive, but the rest of the data is already on its way. So after 800 ms, the speed increases manifold. The `net' is in abeyance for a few secs thats all...
Moreover, sat does not deal with packets differently, its just interactive traffic that suffers.
no no....
sure there will be a "all blue" about:mozilla page. but the about:firefox will be special. they would say - "how it was a wake up call and all"
surely they will hv nighmares about foxes now.... after all it woke them from the six year slumber
i dont understand when people say that a hash algorithm has been broken....
suppose u hash a data object worth 4 MB to obtain a 160 bit hash, then does have cracked the algo means u can "get" back the original data. ofcourse not!!! otherwise you have just achieved super compression.
jokes aside, but i think M$ will clean up its plate.
for one, it cannot afford to see MSN rendered better in Firefox that in IE. therefore we can most certainly see IE7 or wutever it is eventually called (maybe IE2008) to included support for CSS. also they can stop treating standards specifications like a cook book - where u can add and subtract ur own niceties.
most of all, we will hv a download war, let see if it beats 10 million downloads in a month (or was it 20 days.)
- Poop blocker (but not MSN poop) - ad blocker (ofcourse, excluding those in HoTMaiL) - a about:firefox page which allows IE developers to speak their "minds" out.
buddy, unless you also switched ISP in between, it seems highly unlikely (bordering on - not possible) that you got better transfer rates. suprnova was just a list of torrent that you could use. it didnt keep the files, nor did it track them.
ofcourse, unless you referring to the speed with which these sites loaded....
actually there is a lil difference in the way BT works and the way a "classic" P2P client works....
BT encourages you to get the file and then seed as long as you want ---- where as eMule does the opposite, it sees how much you shared and then allows the download.
With more and more people waiting rather than downloading (which could be uploaded to other people at once), the overall throughput suffers.
For example, I published a new file in eXeem just before I went to sleep and by the time i woke up (after 4 hours), there were already 12 seeds and 79 downloads. clearly my role was done....
i didnt matter how those people had shared before, just that they found my file to be cool enough to download and the thing just whirlwinds on.
ofcourse, BT network can never be a match for the variety of files found in eMule but for hot-happening stuff, eXeem will rock!!!!
i got overbilled by my ISP for saturating my DL cap for 14 hours straight (thats 700 KB/s.) I was dloading some stuff.... never happened with eMule.
See if you added fullblown adware to the soup that eXeem is, then probably it would frustrate u as much as Kaaza does. However, one very critical improvement that eX(eem|lite|.*?) has is that it uses the Bittorrent protocol internally. So as long as you get the file with enough downloaders and seeds (which happens very quickly to gamez/moviez/pr0n) you are almost assured to get the file very quickly.
No more waiting as in eMule. And I dont think I have successfully downloaded any file from Shareaza recently.
Also the built in comments/rating system is the thing that will prevent the network from being MP**'s playground. If aint work work for you, let others know.
Personally, I am gonna implement a Java/.NET based client for this as soon as the protocol stabilizes (which should happen in a couple of months when we hit 1.0.)
donch u worry, those dragon people would be shouting all sort of perl insults at/. right about now. but isnt it lunch hour their?? i mean, even the webadmins got to sleep.
i gotta thought tho: can/. take down http://www.ibm.com/ or the likes of http://www.microsoft.com/
I hv installed and re-installed Dragon('s) Naturally speaking and yet every time, my mating with the software dosent last much beyond the obligatory training session.... might be my dad howling behind me to go to bed (the software responds -- too much backgroud noise), but the logic coded into the piece of Dragon droppings (literally....) always has failed to impress.... might just be my asian accent.

that.... 31st December 3112 is the last date we will hv patterns like.....
31/12/3112
cool....
i beg to differ,
however, anyone who has compiled [anything] in a SMP (2 way or 4 way) knows that SMP does make a big difference.
therefore dual cores will eliminate that mental bottleneck of having to buy 2 processors and the backwards compatibility is just an awesome gift!!!!
there goes my idea of a portable egg frying machine.

not just tabs,
a whole lot other goodies like:
- Poop blocker (but not MSN poop)
- ad blocker (ofcourse, excluding those in HoTMaiL)
- a about:firefox page which allows IE developers to speak their "minds" out.
and others....
if Firefox becomes the dominant browser by the time IEnexgen is out, it might well be named IE 1.1 add your favourite (C) and Microsoft tags there....
ok, i got trolled.... maybe, I just havent mastered the skillz to get first post correctly, or maybe i just plain old mucked up.... sorry guys.
no IE....

yeah kinda of a last resort. i found those emporio files that way.... BUT NOW, exeem has stolen the show....
