At what point did this country, partly inspired by the Magna Carta, become more afraid of its government than the government is afraid of the people? THEY represent US. When did we forget that we're in control? Even Ghandi's movement accomplished its successes by choosing to stand peacefully in the way of allowing things to happen to them.
Rolling over and taking it seems to be a matter of course any more. I am not sure if I am more surprised or disgusted by my own country's actions.
