Well, I live an a urban area (and not in NY) because I hate cars. I picked my house so it easy walking distance to shops, transit, schools. Nice to be able to walk home when I've had a few too many beers at the bar. Of course, for work I work on my computer at home.
I wonder if you could use XMPP (Jabber) to monitor devices. Each device connects to the server like a person IMing. It can easily send a message when something bad/good happens. You can have a roster (buddy list) of the devices you want to monitor.
Doesn't SpaceShipOne burn rubber and nitrous oxide? What are the environmental side-effect of that! Just so some rich guys can have a thrill. At the very least there should be an enivronental surtax on it (say one million bucks). Or how about force all frivilous astro-tourists to clean up some toxic waste on Earth.
Sure, there are nice ways to improve the chat logs. Right now they are just:
User: stuff User2: stuff
There is no idea of a conversation. Also they might be a 2 day gap between items in the log and this isn't shown graphically. A smart searcher could see who started the conversation. How long it was. Who you talk to most (yukes privacy). Of course, understand emoticons and other short forms. Would be cool and useful. CU.
Does the camera look like a webserver on your LAN via wifi. When you take another pics and refresh in the webbrowser you see another file? If so... Sweet!
I looked for "computer store" (and similar words) in "Toronto, ON" and it found nothing in the Toronto computer getto at College and Spadina. There are dozens of stores there. Maybe they should have got some people to know Canada to try this before going beta.
The Green Party isn't left leaning. They are free enterprise until it hurts somebody else. ie run your business they way you want but once you begin poluting then its everyone's business and you need to stop or be taxed liek mad. A view I agree with.
But then there's cutting tool "finger printing".
With Google you can search the Web, Usenet, your desktop but only one at at time. I want a choice to search ALL at the same time.
Isn't this tool Windows specific?
So it keeps people tied to Windows.

Sorry to be so dumb but how do I get to
actually use print.google.com - ie search.
Anybody got a URL?
Damaging the genetic material of a virus -- cool!
Aren't viruses 90% genetic material?
Its a horse race. Wait until the next RedHat release. It'll be ahead of SuSe in some areas. Eg Gnome.
It makes a difference.
The man page says this:
-f Force unmount (in case of an unreachable NFS system). (Requires kernel 2.1.116 or later.)
But I've seen cases when I can't unmount a CD-ROM.
(No pending writes). Just because somebody had cd-ed to a directory in the CD-ROM. This is Linux.
I agree with the guy who started this thread, when you ask to unmount something it should unmount.

For the next prize they get NASA to drop a package containing 10 million bucks into orbit. Whoever recovers it ... gets it.
(Of course, the letter X is over used: X-Files, X-Box, X-Window, etc. X marks the spot, etc.)
I just don't get why people confuse these two important terms.
Er, it was "Museum of Man" in Ottawa.
Since renamed "Canadian Museum of Civilization"
http://www.civilization.ca/
You'll be glad to know there is still the Isle of Man off Ireland.
So says the webcase.

Clearly the solution is to change SMTP to XML. Its so old fashions that it uses a line-by-line converation. I propose XSMTP which goes like this:
[xml]
[huge header]
[line value=helo]
[/xml]
That oughta fix it.
I am joking.
Saying its harder than concrete is like saying an OS is more secure than Windows.
How to fix cracks in concrete
Don't you have to get a MS Passport to have a Hotmail account. That's one of the main reasons I never got one.
Sorry I don't believe you really work at homeland security and are first posting. But your other comments seem possible to me.

In fact, its my view of freedom.
I see its the last alt browser mentioned.
Does anybody use it. Does it have something that other browsers don't. Its it written in Java?
