The "light pole" is actually a mast / crane of the ship nearly hidden from view , except for its superstructure off to the left. The bright flash is either a light on the mast or perhaps a flash due to some welding. The gray line is the shadow of a passing aircraft. The shadow is very likely in the distant background, but lines up with the mast. The clouds in the upper right are illuminated by the sun off to the left.
