Did you know that 'theaveng' is an anagram for 'negative' if you swap an 'i' for the 'h'? Well, it is. Yes, I know that it's meaningless, but it's more entertaining than some of his posts.
That's exactly what I thought. "Company A announced Company A's findings using Company A's nifty new tool. Try Company A's tool for yourself!"
There may be valuable information here. Without independent third-party review, we don't know.
I thought your observations may have merit so I went to Company A's website but I didn't see any nifty new tools... though it does have a picture of a cute little dog.;-)
I don't know about you, but where I live the weather reporters are right more than once in 8,400 days... And I think my high school's sucky baseball team managed more than 10 wins in 84,000 tries... Maybe you need to move to somewhere better...?
There's a place better than New Jersey? Do you know what it's called? Do they have a brochure or a pamphlet or something?
Where due process only exists for the highest bidder.
Now come on - it wasn't that bad. Let's see... 10 out of 84,000... that's not quite as good as the average baseball player but just about on par with a weather reporter. All in all I'd say they had better accuracy than we thought they would (though we all hoped for a bit more).
Why not have each computer replace some of the most important Windows API calls with a random string during installation? The software would work on the installed computer but a non-installed exe or dll that hasn't been 'mapped' to the specific computer's random list wouldn't run.
Would you really call poison control from a land line?
Me: Hey, what's this in the large white bottle in my kitchen near my landline? [sniff, sniff] It smells lemony. I wonder if it's lemonade or lemon scented bleach? :: moments later::
Me: Hello, poison control? I just accidentally drank dishwashing liquid while trying to get the taste of the worst lemonade ever out of my mouth...
Re:Wow, that would be redonkulously profitable.

AMD Sale to Dell Rumored
·
· Score: 4, Informative
Maybe yes, maybe no. The big loser in this would be Intel. I'm not sure of the % of Dell computers that ship with AMD CPU's but it's certainly less than 25%. Dell is big enough to hurt Intel if they switch to AMD.
Well, more correctly, AN answer is there... May not be correct or even relevant to the question, but there will be an answer.
I used to have my Google preferences to exclude Expert Sex Change from results, but that setting keeps getting reset...
You need to choose the 'cached' version for EE and then scroll all the way to the bottom. You'll find the answers there, though recently they screwed with the stylesheet so it doesn't always look right on the cached version (but the answers are still very easy to read).
This is about self-segrigation and self-censorship on the intertubes. It may not be the hottest story, but in the wake of the turmoil in the Middle East it's a clear indication that some of that oppression is deep rooted and won't be changing soon. Information wants to be free... well, not everyone wants to be free to embrace it.
I'm sure it has something to do with fuzzy math and imaginary numbers, but WinPhone7 has new phones on the market - and more importantnly in consumer's hands. Until the new WebOS phones actually go on sale they are in 4th place.
HP/WebOS is lagging behind Android, iOS and maybe even WinPhone7. Making sure that there's a reliable source for homebrewed apps, etc is a smart move. The homebrew efforts aren't going away so embrace them and let some of the creative & clever minds 'McGyver' your product into something that meets needs HP never thought of.
letting mission-critical systems be used by employees to surf facebook and download cute fonts and wallpaper.
Oh, I'm sorry, but that was a good guess. We were looking for Stuxnet - it not only affects centrifuges but other spinning devices such as sirens and wheels on emergency vehicles.;-)

again in your expert legal opinion?
My expert legal opinion is that you didn't much like his post, but keep in mind that IANAL.

I can see that, but that doesn't explain charging cell phone users for the poison control centers.
Haven't you heard? Cellphones are poisoning our minds ... and our society.
Probably some others.
Insert name of government agency here ...

The problem with veteran Unix admins is they never get first post.

It's a quote from Transformers. Are you not a nerd?
Apparently not ... I don't see many movies and now it's starting to show.

WSG: I'd like Things I Don't Know for $200, Alex
Trebek: I'm sorry, that's a very large category. You'll have to be more specific.
WSG: (sad) Ohhh
Ooh. Nokias are real nasty. You've gotta respect the Japanese. They know the way of the samurai.
Isn't Nokia a Finnish company? When did Japan invade Finland?
Being an asshat does not make a person a rapist.
Does being an asshat make someone a Scientologist? Or does being a Scientologist make someone an asshat?
North Korea is the best Korea!
The big red button does it all.
No! Don't click the big red button - it's a trap! You'll be Rick Rolled!!

I have two words for them: Bossom Buddies
Try reading something by Calvin and Hobbes.
Karma is a pendulum of vengeance.
Pay attention or pay the price.
How can that even be?

HP Donates To WebOS's Major Hombrewing Group
Actually, Major Hombre and his Group are tough customers.

He was asking about the new Galaxy Tablet. The S II does have a micro SD card but the Tablet does not.
